Our Board of Advisors provide the Edifiers Youth Network with their valuable guidance and support. However, management arrangements are tackled and decisions are made by elected representatives at chapter level, and its youth councils at different levels (tehsil, union council, and village).
This arrangement helps us ensure not only that our work is youth-led and youth-managed, but also has support and guidance of Youth Advocates and Advisers.
Our structure serves as the backbone of our network, and provide natural points to our Youth Members, Campus Ambassadors, and Youth Advocates to group together and connect with each other, across our Chapters and its corresponding youth councils. It also helps streamline intra and inter communication.
Our chapters are initiated at district level in settled areas, and Agency or FR level in Federally Administered Tribal Areas. Hierarchy of a chapter is depicted below.
Level 1 represents Chapters at District or Agency or FR level.
Level 2 represents Youth Councils at Tehsil level.
Level 3 represents Youth Committees at village or community level.
We employ a top-down approach in establishment of a network in a district or agency or FR. However, once established, bottom-up approach is used for election of members for Youth Councils and Team Leaders for a Chapter. This will ensure inculcation of democratic processes across the network.
Our structure is unique! On one side it enables us to have our roots at the grass root levels/communities. At this level, our youth have platform to connect and organize; get involved; and serve as agents of positive change. Building on community level platforms, on the other side, the structure spirals up to to provide further layers of platforms strengthening youth voices and impact, and to ensure their involvement in decision making and development processes at higher and all levels.
